Shaheen Asmayee faced Jawanan Urdo in a friendly match on Thursday, January 12, 2017. The competition kicked-off in the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) stadium. Shaheen Asmayee routed Jawanan Urdo 2-0.
Urdo started the game with exchanging short passes to lock the pitch in their own favor. As an enthralling first-half continued, it was Hussain Alizada of Shaheen who netted the opening goal taking a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. Urdo’s efforts ended resultless as all their attacks were emitted.
To insure the victory and leave no room for recovery, Shaheen scored the second goal on 64 minutes. This time Zainudin Sharifi, the well-trained striker, put the ball in the back of the net. The friendly ended 2-0 in favor of the 2016 RAPL champions.
This was the second friendly match in the previous week which Shaheen triumphed over rivals, indicating their capabilities and talent. Meanwhile, these friendly matches are good indicators for Shaheen as they can evaluate their performance and fulfill any gap or defect for the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup 2017.
The AFC Cup 2017 brings together its regional football club members to take part in an annual-international football competition. This is the first time an RAPL team has been qualified to compete with regional football clubs of AFC.
