Moneerulhaq Nadim has been Simorgh Alborz's captain since the RAPL's inaugural year 2012. He is originally from Panjshir and has lived his whole life in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh and a true Mazari in his heart.

He has scored a total of 14 goals in the last three RAPL seasons for Simorgh. He played a key role by scoring two times and assisting his side to secure Simorgh's vital 3-1 victory against Shaheen Asmayee in the opening match of this season and was awarded Man-of-the-Match.

He started playing football when he was only ten years old. Now, he has 30 years of age and father of two sons, whom he hopes to become even better football players than him.

He has been playing for Kode Barq F.C. and Balkh province football team for more than 11 years now. He has been selected as the best football player in Balkh for most of those years.

Nadim was on national duty for two years playing for Afghanistan National Football Team.

He is truly respected and by his fellow players on and off the pitch. "He is the best player in the team and everyone knows that. But he is still the most humble person I know." Nadim's teammate Mustafa Rezaie said.

"We have been two times in the final and have returned back home with empty-hands. This time we or on the pitch playing to win it all and left up the prestigious RAPL trophy." Nadim said.

After a winless 2014 season, Simorgh had a strong comeback winning this year's inaugural Nawroz Tournament Cup and defeating Shaheen in a thrilling penalty shootout. They have appeared convincingly strong in their first game of this season and their second game is today against De Maiwand Atalan.

"I believe our first game was way more difficult than today's. We are confident and prepared as a team, and will play with a winning mindset." Nadim said.
