The match between Mawjhai Amu and Simorgh Alborz kicked-off with a well-formed start by Amu. Exchanging slick passes, Amu was threatening an early goal against its rival to win the third position in the Roshan Afghan Premier League (RAPL) 2016. The pitch took place at Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) stadium during which Simorgh triumphed 1-0 over Amu.

Mawjhai Amu started the game posing a competitive appearance to fashion an effort for impressing Simorgh Alborz at the beginning. However, the players could not take any advantage to spark the first opening goal.

The rival, Simorgh Alborz maintained their unbeaten start to the pitch as a first-half goal from Monirulhaq Nadim, on 32 minutes, secured a deserved 1-0 lead. The rest of the first-half ended with locked result in favor of Simorgh.

In the second-half, Amu’s fans expected thrilling changes to recover the deficit and drag back the team’s tone. Yet, neither side was able to fashion an effort on target that were desperately short on goals. To prevent any crack, Simorgh Alborz strengthened its defense-line and focused more on counter-strikes to book another goal. Likewise, Amu’s back-to-back strikes ended scoreless and wide despite of enjoying a better game possession compared to Simorgh.

With this victory, Simorgh Alborz is standing in the third place of RAPL 2016 and Mawjhai Amu awarded as fourth position holders.

Tomorrow, September 30, 2016, Shaheen Asmayee will clash with De Maiwand Atalan on RAPL 2016 championship cup.
