Shaheen Asmayee will compete in group “B” of Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017. Chittagong Abahani Ltd., Mohammadan SC Limited of Bangladesh, and Monag Marshyangdi Club of Nepal are the three rivals of Shaheen in the group stage.  Based on the draw, the champions of 2016 Roshan Afghan Premier League (RAPL) will kick-off their first game on February 19, 2017 against Chittagong Abahani Ltd. of Bangladesh.

Eight teams — three local and five foreign clubs — split into two groups for the tournament and will compete in the group stage. Each match has three points and finally two teams of each group will be qualified for semi-finals.

In press conference on February 17, 2017, Boir Igamberdiev and Amirudin Sharifi Shaheen Asmayee’s coach and captain talked about the team’s preparations and stated that Shaheen will go to ground with yellow jersey in all Sheikh Kamal fixtures.

Shaheen Asmayee conducted their first exercise at Chittagong, Bangladesh on February 17, 2017. “The team is in good shape and mood. All players are ready to win the matches in the Sheikh Kamal International Club Cup 2017,” said Mujtaba Faiz, the assistant coach.

The second and third fixtures of Shaheen will be on February 22 and 24, 2017.

The team will face-off Chittagong Abahani Ltd in their first match of Sheikh Kamal group stage on February 19, 2017. The match will start at 5:30 pm Kabul time at M.A Aziz Stadium of Chittagong.
