One of the important initiatives in the 2015 RAPL Main Event was "Shot at a brighter future" contest. The young participants took part by submitting online essays on the importance of peace and unity for Afghanistan and then were tested for their football skills to win a two-week scholarship to the Spanish Soccer School in Dubai, one of the top soccer schools in Dubai. There the two winners, one boy and one girl, will learn how to play football the Spanish way under the supervision of the Spanish football legend, Michel Salgado and his team of coaches.

Through this contest RAPL encouraged the young leaders of tomorrow to focus on their education, health, and future. The contest uniquely tied the education and sport to help Afghan youth realize the importance of both. In line with this goal, Spanish Soccer School looks to impart values that will benefit a child's character growth and development as well as their football technique and skills.

Mona and Rashid outperformed their peers in football skills competitions to win the grand prize of this competition. Both of them are playing for Afghanistan U-12 Football Club and at the sametime working hard to succeed in their studies. They will travel to Dubai next month in November. The 16 finalists also received RAPL gift packages, which included footballs, jerseys, and other RAPL merchandise souvenirs
