Mawjhai Amu faced Shaheen Asmayee in a friendly match on Thursday 9:00 a.m in Ghazi Stadium. As always, Shaheen appeared strong and took full possession of the ball with their Tiki-taka (short passes) style of play through the first half.
Hashmat Barekzai scored the first goal at the last window of opportunity during the first half for Shaheen at 44th minute. That became the only goal scored in the first half of the match.
In the second half, Amu surprised Shaheen with a strong comeback. Amu's Rahim Alibadi scored the equalizer at the 56th minute and shortly after, Jaffar Sediqi scored the go ahead goal in the 65th minute to take a 2-1 lead against Shaheen.
Amu was in full control of the game in the second half with a good number of close shots on target. Amu's Sediqi scored his second of the game and the third for his team to take a commanding 3-1 lead.
Emran Walizada, one of Shaheen's new squad members and promising strikers, with a splendid shot scored the second goal for Shaheen at 87th minute. Although, Shaheen made many efforts to score the equalizing goal during the last moments of the game, Amu's defense proved to be in control.
This was a strong start and spirit booster for Amu to defeat the two times RAPL Champions.
This was a friendly match in a series of scheduled friendly matches ahead of the RAPL kick-off on August 27th.
