In a lively competition, De Spinghar Bazan faced Oqaban Hindukosh in the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) stadium. This game was the fifth pitch of Roshan Afghan Premier League (RAPL) 2016. Both teams flail around the pitch despite having strategic advantages. Finally, today’s match ends with no score, doubling the risk of elimination for each.
Last week, De Spinghar Bazan ended the game with a surprising 2-2 draw against Mawjhai Amu. Today, Bazan played actively with enthusiasm to score the point in the first-half; however, the tone was not set. Majority of its strikes and opportunities were either missed or deterred by its opponent, Oqaban Hindukosh. The team played defensive in the second-half.
Following the tense moments, Oqaban put the efforts to change the tone of competition by scoring the opening goal. The approach was to play more offensive rather than defending the bar. No strike could change the result. All of Oqaban’s shots on Bazan’s bar ended with no result. Likewise, Mustafa Kohestani, who entered the ground in the 2nd half, missed a golden opportunity.
As Oqaban did not prevent a 1-0 defeat in its first game with Mawjhia Amu and did not secure any score in today’s pitch, its chance to be qualified for semifinal decreases significantly.
The game statistics reveals that both team held equal possession. Two yellow cards went to Oqaban and one to Bazan.
