About the team
The Hindukosh mountain range stretches through the heart of Afghanistan for 800 kilometers. This range is the most dominant mountain range of the country and one of the great watersheds of Central Asia. Caucasus Indicus is the Ancient Greek name. It peaks at almost 6,000 m near Kabul and feeds many rivers that support agriculture for thousands of Afghans. The high cliffs of the Hindukosh Mountains make great nesting grounds for Afghanistan’s great eagles (Oqaban) that boast wingspans of greater than 2m.
The 2016 APL draw put Oqaban Hindukosh in Group “B”. Despite of struggles and changes made to the team this season, Oqaban was not able to manage any remarkable accomplishment.
Oqaban did not find any chance to play in the 2016 APL semi-finals as they were only one goal short of making it to the next stage.
