Not to suffer any capitulation and keep their victory rhythm, Shaheen Asmayee has started their exercises in the Republican Central Stadium, Dushanbe after they arrived in Tajikistan on 25 January, 2017. The team will go against Khosilot, a Tajik football club in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup 2017.

The team is still in the quarantine phase. Shaheen conducts their exercises twice daily at the Republican Central Stadium. The morning time is allocated to football techniques and skills. In the afternoon, the main focus is on body strength.

Previously, Shaheen’s assistant coach stated that the quarantine phase is considered to give them the opportunity to eliminate any chance of flailing around the pitch and leave no regret behind. Supervised by Coach Boir Igamberdiev, the team’s techniques, attacking, counter-attacking, and defense strategies have been reviewed and strengthened.

“I and each member of the staff and team are committed to take away the fear and be focused on victory. The focus will be to capitalize any chances,” said Boir.

The bad news, however, is about Hamidullah Yousufzai, the team’s second goalkeeper, injury. He badly got injured during the exercise on 27 January, 2017 and will no longer be in the squad. Based on talks, Yasin Jafari will join the team in Tajikistan to replace Yousufzai.

Shaheen Asmayee’s first preliminary game against Khosilot will be on 31 January, 2017 at 15:30 pm Tajikistan time in the Republican Central Stadium, Dushanbe.
