There will be 10 qualified teams competing in the central Kabul 2017 Afghan Premier League (APL) regional tournament. These teams are divided into group “A” and “B”, each group composed of five members.

On April 24, 2017, the qualified teams’ managers and Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) Deputy Technical Director, Mr. Mohammad Yusuf Kargar held a meeting to discuss the terms and briefed the teams on the applicable procedures. AFF officials encouraged the teams to adhere to the rules and avoid violation of the codes.

Based on the draw result for central Kabul, the following teams are in the group “A”: Etihad, Saramiyasht, Sabawon, Jawanan-e-Urdo, and Amarkhail. The five members of group “B” are: Feerozi, Safir, Urdo, Jawanan-e-Panjshir, and Esteqlal.
The matches of Kabul regional tournament will be kicked-off in Ghazi Stadium from April 25th to May 4th, 2017.

On April 25th, Saramiyasht will go against Amarkhail at 2:00 pm and Sabawon will stand against Jawanan-e-Urdo at 4:00 pm, Kabul time from group “A”.
Safir will face Esteqlal at 2:00 pm and Urdo will compete with Jawanan-e-Panjshir at 4:00 pm, Kabul time on April 26th from group “B”.
