The other rousing day of Roshan Afghan Premier League (RAPL) 2016 action is underway as De Maiwand Atalan will play Mawjhai Amu today, September 26, 2016, at Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) stadium. This is the second semi-final returning game starting at 2:30 pm.

De Maiwad Atalan prevailed 3-2 despite receiving an early opening at Mawjhai Amu’s home. Yet, today will be a different chapter for Atalan. Any winner may have the chance to stand as a candidate in the RAPL 2016 final.

Yesterday, Shaheen Asmayee, as of six goals difference with its semi-final opponent Simorgh Alborz, escalated to the final.

“We have analyzed all the gapes and defects that we had in the first semi-final match with Atalan. Preparations have been taken to avoid further failure” Said Atiq Sherzad, the Amu’s defender. “We will be more vigilant in coordination-especially in the defense-line,” he added. “For sure, we are keen to win the contest and secure a spot in the RAPL 2016 final.”

Last year, De Maiwand Atalan successfully secured the 3rd place after winning Mawjhai Amu in its last match of RAPL 2015. Atalan boosted its performance and abilities in the fifth season semi-final to keep its last year tradition against Amu.

To advance to final, Amu needs an absolute 2-0 victory over Atalan for today. Otherwise, a loss will put Amu against Simorgh Alborz to fight for the 3rd position.
